Ciryl Gane and Tai Tuivasa are responsible for giving MMA one of the wildest heavyweight fights in recent memory.
A year ago, Gane and Tuivasa headlined UFC Fight Night 209 in Paris, which marked the UFC’s debut in France. The moment already was a special one, but it was made even greater by what happened.
Gane and Tuivasa, two of the best strikers in the division, went toe to toe in a wild fight that had several ups and downs. In the end, Gane picked up a knockout victory, but both men left the arena with a $50,000 Fight of the Night bonus.

Gane returns to the octagon Saturday in the main event of UFC Fight Night 226 at Accor Arena in Paris. He takes on fellow contender Serghei Spivac.
Gane (11-2 MMA, 8-2 UFC) is coming off a submission loss to Jon Jones in March for the vacant heavyweight title. Spivac (16-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC) most recently fought in February, when he defeated former title challenger Derrick Lewis. He’s currently on a three-fight winning streak and 6-1 in his past seven fights.
