Gilbert Burns is having a stellar start to 2023.
A UFC welterweight contender, Burns (20-5 MMA, 13-5 UFC) is gearing up for one of the biggest fights of his career, days before he steps in the octagon against Jorge Masvidal in the co-main event of UFC 287 in Miami on April 8. Burns enters the fight with plenty of momentum.
At UFC 283 in January, Burns made quick work of fellow veteran Neil Magny. The Brazilian took down Magny in the first attempt, mounted him, and submitted him with an arm-triangle choke in the first round of their contest.
