Broadcast and streaming info
UFC Fight Night 230 has a main card that begins at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+. The prelims stream on ESPN+, as well, beginning at 4 p.m. ET.
Main event: Sodiq Yusuff
Sodiq Yusuff (13-2 MMA, 6-1 UFC) has back-to-back wins, including a 30-second submission of Don Shainis. But that came more than a year ago. His fight against Edson Barboza will be hisi first action of the year. Yusuff has won eight of nine overall.
Main event: Edson Barboza
Edson Barboza (23-11 MMA, 17-11 UFC), one of the most feared strikers in the sport, got back in the win column in April when he knocked out Billy Quarantillo, a stoppage that was worth an extra $50,000 in bonus money. Before that, he had consecutive losses to Giga Chikadze and Bryce Mitchell.
Co-main event: Viviane Araujo vs. Jennifer Maia
Jennifer Maia (21-9-1 MMA, 6-5 UFC) has bounced back in the women’s flyweight division after consecutive decision losses to Katlyn Chookagian and Manon Fiorot Viviane Araujo (11-5 MMA, 5-4 UFC) vs. In 2020, she lost a title shot against then-champ Valentina Shevchenko, and with consecutive wins over Maryna Moroz and Casey O’Neill, she’s climbing back into contention. Araujo has back-to–back losses to current champ Alexa Grasso and Amanda Ribas. In September, she had a fight with Casey O’Neill scrapped; now she has Maia and an opportunity to get back in the win column for the first time since May 2022.
UFC debut: Melissa Dixon
Melissa Dixon (5-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) will make her promotional debut on the prelims against Irina Alekseeva (5-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC). Dixon, from England, is unbeaten and has TKOs in three of her five pro wins. She hasn’t fought in nearly a year.
UFC debut: Ravena Oliveira
Ravena Oliveira (7-1-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) will try to make an early mark on the UFC’s women’s bantamweight division when she takes on Tainara Lisboa (6-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC). Oliveira, from Brazil, had a draw in her pro debut, then a loss 16 months later. But she’s been unbeaten since early 2019 with seven straight wins – all stoppages.
UFC debut: Brendon Marotte
Brendon Marotte (8-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC), who trains with the acclaimed New England Cartel, will make his short-notice lightweight debut against Terrance McKinney (14-6 MMA, 4-3 UFC), who needed a new opponent after Chris Duncan ran into visa issues.
