The UFC’s second trip to Paris was another significant event for French MMA with UFC Fight Night 226 going down Saturday at Accor Arena.
Multiple French fighters on the card thrived, but none more than former interim UFC heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane (12-2 MMA, 9-2 UFC, who thrived in the main event with a second-round TKO of Serghei Spivac (16-4 MMA, 7-4 UFC) to rebound from his loss against Jon Jones earlier this year.

Manon Fiorot’s (11-1 MMA, 6-0 UFC) six-fight UFC winning streak at women’s flyweight is tied with Erin Blanchfield for the longest active streak in the division.
Rose Namajunas (11-6 MMA, 9-5 UFC) suffered consecutive losses for the first time in her UFC career.
Namajunas was unsuccessful in her women’s flyweight debut.
Namajunas has suffered four of her six career losses by decision.
Benoit Saint-Denis def. Thiago Moises
Saint-Denis (12-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) four-fight UFC winning streak at lightweight is tied for the second-longest active streak in the division behind Islam Makhachev (11).
Saint-Denis’ four-fight UFC stoppage steak is fourth-longest among active fighters in the company behind Sergei Pavlovich (six), Jailton Almeida (five) and Shavkat Rakhmonov (five).
Saint-Denis has earned all 12 of his career victories by stoppage.
Volkan Oezdemir def. Bogdan Guskov
Volkan Oezdemir (19-7 MMA, 7-6 UFC) has earned 14 of his 19 career victories by stoppage.
Oezdemir earned his first submission victory since Apr. 7, 2012 – a span of 4,165 days and 23 fights.
Bogdan Guskov (14-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) has suffered two of his three career losses by stoppage.
Guskov suffered the first submission loss of his career.
