UFC Fight Night 223 weigh-in results: Multiple prelim fighters heavy – one by four pounds

LAS VEGAS – MMA Junkie was on scene and reporting live from Friday’s official UFC Fight Night 223 fighter weigh-ins, where two fighters missed their marks on the scale.

Among those weighing in were Ricky Simon (20-3 MMA, 8-2 UFC) and Song Yadong (19-7-1 MMA, 8-2-1 UFC), who meet in the bantamweight main event.

Both headliners were on their marks, but that can’t be said for prelim fighters Irina Alekseeva and Hailey Cowan, who both missed weight for their women’s bantamweight matchups.

The weigh-ins took place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The same venue hosts Saturday’s event, which has a main card that streams on ESPN+ following prelims on ESPN2/ESPN+.
