At the conclusion of the final event of the year for the UFC, the promotion awarded four post-fight bonuses.
After UFC Fight Night 216, two Performance of the Night bonuses were handed out for spectacular knockout finishes, while an exciting lightweight battle took home Fight of the Night.
Scroll below to see which fighters earned an extra $50,000 for their performance at UFC Apex.
'Performance of the Night': Michal Oleksiejczuk
Michal Oleksiejczuk made it two first-round finishes in a row on Saturday. After dealing with early grappling troubles from Cody Brundage, Oleksiejczuk reversed position and began letting his heavy hands fly. The vicious ground and pound nearly put Brundage out, prompting a TKO stoppage from the referee to prevent any further damage. Oleksiejczuk walks away with his sixth UFC win and his second bonus with the promotion.
'Performance of the Night': Alex Caceres
Alex Caceres added Julian Erosa to his highlight reel at UFC Fight Night 216. In the last featherweight bout of 2022, Caceres quickly settled into the fight, and began flowing seamlessly with his strikes. After missing with a hard left hand, Caceres smoothly added a well-placed head kick behind it, sending Erosa crashing to the mat. The spectacular finish earned Caceres the seventh bonus of his 26-fight UFC career.
'Fight of the Night': Drew Dober vs. Bobby Green
Two lightweights known for bringing heat to the octagon met expectations on the main card of the final card of the year. Bobby Green and Drew Dober turned in an all-action fight that produced a definitive second-round finish. Green won the first round unanimously on the judges’ scorecards, but Dober never backed away from his opponent. Dober walked through fire to land a fight-ending left hand to win by knockout, putting an end to an exciting one in the lightweight division midway through the second round. For their efforts, both fighters take home an extra $50,000, in what serves as the sixth total bonus for both men.
