In the women’s strawweight main event, Mackenzie Dern (12-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) takes on Yan Xiaonan (15-3 MMA, 6-2 UFC). In the co-feature, Randy Brown (15-4 MMA, 9-4 UFC) meets Francisco Trinaldo (28-8 MMA, 18-7 UFC) at welterweight.

Guido Cannetti vs. Randy Costa
Round 1 – Here we go. UFC Fight Night 211 is underway. Both Cannetti and Costa touch gloves. Big body kicks from Cannetti right off the bat. A couple of hard leg kicks land for Cannetti. Costa looking to pressure Cannetti, but has yet to connect. And a chopping leg kick drops Costa to the canvas. Cannetti rushes and gets the back. He sinks in a rear-naked choke from turtle position. And there’s the tap! 42-year-old Cannetti gets his second consecutive win.

Round 1 – They exchange early and Stoliarenko gets a takedown. She moves to mount. Now she’s attempting an armbar, but fails. Stoliarenko is now on bottom, with Chandler landing hard shots from guard. Chandler gets up and let’s Stoliarenko back to her feet. Three minutes left. Stoliarenko shoots for a takedown and gets reversed. Now Chandler is on mount. After a scramble, they’re now back on the feet. Stoliarenko looks fatigued and Chandler is putting on the pressure. Big right hand by Chandler. Stoliarenko shoots for another takedown, but gets reversed and mounted. Chandler with relentless ground-and-pound. Big shots. And the fight is over. The referee has seen enough.

Brendan Allen vs. Krzysztof Jotko
Round 1 – Oh! Big body kick lands by Allen. He throws another kicks, but gets caught and taken down by Jotko. Jotko in half-guard. Not much going on, but Jotko doing a good job at controlling Allen. Three minutes left. And Allen reverses the position and ends on top. Allen is in half guard. Jotko briefly gets to his feet and Allen gets him back to the ground with a throw. Pure control here from Allen. And Jotko exposes his back, Allen locks in the rear-naked choke, and it’s over! Allen gets the tap.

Round 1 – And the fight is on. Both fighters being cautious here. Good jab by Ronson. It looks like he’s opening up a bit more than Silva. Three minutes left. Good right hand by Silva. Ronson now doing most of the pressuring, but nothing landing clean. Two minutes left. Not a ton going on here. Good combination, lands by Ronson. One minute left. Silva lands a body shot and leg kick. Heavy right hand by Ronson. Oh! bug combination by Silva. He stuns Ronson. And now a flying knee drops Ronson just as the bell rings.

Round 2 – Ronson seemed to be winning the round until Silva stole it at the end by landing the biggest shot of the fight so far. Let’s see how this looks in the second. Goods jab by Silva. He looks more confident here. Couple of straight lefts land by Ronson. No doubt Ronson having the higher output, but Silva seems to be landing the bigger shots. What! Hige flying knee by Silva drops Ronson. He’s hurt bad. Silva now landing bit shots on a downed Ronson. The fight is over! Wow. Brutal finish by the Brazilian.

Ilir Latifi vs. Aleksei Oleinik
Round 1 – Alright, the only heavyweight fight on the card is up. They shake hands and the fight is on. Latifi catches a kick early and takes Oleinik down. Latifi working from guard. No ground-and-pound from Latifi so far, but Oleinik is landing shots from bottom. Not much action going on here. Latifi is starting to open up more, and he’s landing ground-and-pound. Oleinik not really trying to sweep or get back to his feet. He is doinga good job at not absorbing much damage and tying up Latifi’s arms. Latifi maintains control until the bell.

Round 2 – Oleinik looking to pressure here. He’s got Latifi backing up, as he looks to land a big shot. Oleinik now bleeding from the left side of his eyebrow. Although Oleinik is pressuring, Latifi is landing the better shots. Latifi’s output is much higher here. Two minutes left. Latifi goes for a takedown, but fails. Another takedown attempt by Latifi but this one lands. Latifi on side control here. One minute left. Latifi with some nasty elbows fro top. He’s doing work. And the bell rings

Round 3 – Much of the same dynamic here. Oleinik marches forward and backs up Latifi, but Latifi is too quick and agile. Latifi is making Oleinik miss while landing shots of his own. A few here come with weight, but Oleinik’s chin is holding up. Big uppercut by Latifi. Oleinik with some good front kicks to the body. Latifi now presses Oleinik against the cage. Two minutes left. They break away, but not for long. Latifi presses Oleinik against the cage once again. Oleinik escapes and begins to press and look for the KO. Again, Latifi closes the distance and presses Oleinik against the cage. And a brief takedown lands for Latifi, but Oleinik gets right back up. And the final bell goes off.

Round 1 – And Santos comes out firing! He’s pressuring Castaneda and throwing with power. Santos shoots for a takedown and gets caught in a guillotine choke. It looked tight but he was able to get out, and the fight goes back to the feet. Santos relentless with the pressure. Oh! Castaneda wobbles Santos with a head-kick. He’s down and Castaneda looks to get on top. Castaneda takes a hard up kick. Santos gets back to his feet but gets dropped by a left. Santos finds his way back up and continues to pressure Castaneda. Two minutes left. Tons of action here. Castaneda closes the distance and takes down Santos. He’s now in half-guard. Santos gets back to his feet. Oh! Again, huge head kick by Castaneda wobbles Santos. Santos is rocked and Castaneda all over him. It seems he recovered, and he’s now on the attack. Nice elbow by Santos. Castaneda’s right eye is battered. The bell rings.

Round 2 – What a fight. They touch gloves and the action resumes. They exchange shots before a low blow by Santos pauses the fight. Castaneda takes his time, but the fight resumes a minute after. And back to war. Santos pressuring, landing good shots, and Castaneda backing up and countering well. Hard leg kick by Santos. Santos having a much better round here. Solid shot by Santos gets the fight to the ground. Castaneda defends well and gets up against the fence. Castaneda escapes and eats two flying knees on his way up. Both legal. Two minutes left. Oh! Huge right hand by Santos. And now a huge left! Crazy fight. Santos all over Castaneda. One minute left. What a chin by Castaneda. He’s taking hard shots. Castaneda looks very tired and Santos is all over him. The shots are adding up. A nasty knee from the clinch drops Castaneda. The referee intervenes. What a comeback by Santos.

Round 1 – Alright, we now hit the main card of the event. Borshchev and Davis have the honors to get us started. No touch of gloves here. Good leg kicks here by Borshchev. And Davis answers back with some of his own. One minute in. Good uppercut by Davis. Hard calf kick by Borshchev. Davis shoots for a takedown and gets it. Davis keeping good control. Borshchev gets back up, but they’re against the fence. A knee stuns Borshchev. Davis still controlling him against the cage. Borshchev escapes, and they’re back on the feet exchanging. Two minutes left. Davis with another takedown. He’s now on mount and landing ground-and-pound. Solid shots by Davis from top. One minute left. Man, Davis relentless here. Borshchev reverses the position and ends on top in the final 10 seconds. The round ends.

Round 2 – Borshchev making up for what we saw in round one. Good leg kicks by Borshchev. Also, good body shots. Davis felt a couple of them. Borshchev attacking here often and connecting well on Davis. Three minutes left. Davis is backing up and has yet to go for a takedown. Davis getting pieced up here. And there it is, Davis shoots and takes down Borshchev Two minutes left. Borshchev gets up briefly and Davis brings the fight right back to the ground. Davis gets mount. And he sinks in an arm triangle. It looks tight. Borshchev escapes, but is still mounted. One minute left. Good shots from Davis. Borshchev improves his position and pulls guard. The bell goes off. Round 3 – It’s clear Borshchev has the edge on the feet here. Good left hand connects for Borshchev. Davis covering his right eye. It’s bothering him. A lot of swelling on his right eye. Davis shoots for a takedown and gets it. Davis working from guard. Davis bleeding a lot. Not much damage from Davis, but he’s controlling Borshchev. Complete control by Davis. Borshchev is desperately trying to get up, but Davis is shutting down any attempt. Davis controls the fight until the final bell.

Barcelos on top from turtle position. Now Jones goes to his back and has Barcelos inside his half guard. One minute left. Barcelos landing some shots, but nothing big, more like busy shots. Barcelos now moves to full mount. He controls the action until the end of the round.

Both being very cautious. Three minutes left. Oh and a right hand sits down Trinaldo. Brown lets him back up. Nice Oblique kick by Brown. Trinaldo connects with a right hand and presses Brown against the cage. Trinaldo goes for a takedown and Brown with a clear fence grab defends it. No point taken by the refree. Trinaldo gets a body lock and takes down Brown. Brown scrambles out of it. Brown now threatens with a guillotine choke, but it seems Trinaldo is good. The bell rings.

Dern is starting to get her leg out of the way whenever Xiaonan throws a leg kick. Three minutes left. Dern shoots for a takedown and presses Xiaonan against the cage. Dern really struggling to get the single leg takedown. And Xiaonan escapes and gets the fight back to the striking. Less than two minutes left. Dern shoots again, and Xiaonan stuffs the takedown. Xiaonan now very tentative to strike. Wild exchange between the two. Dern gets a throw, but they scramble and Xiaonan briefly gets the back. The bell rings.

Round 3 – Good fight so far. The two exchange briefly before Dern pulls guard. This time Xiaonan is able to get back to her feet. They’re back striking. Good body kick by Dern. Xiaonan clearly getting the better exchange of the shots, but Dern still moving forward. Oh! Huge left by Xiaonan wobbles Dern. She takes a step back and recovers and is back to pressuring. Dern attemps a takedown, but no luck. Dern gets a takedown just as the bell rings. Clear round for Xiaonan.
