Brazilian strawweights will battle in November.
Amanda Ribas(11-4 MMA, 6-3 UFC) takes on Luana Pinheiro at a UFC Fight Night event on Nov. 18 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. A person with knowledge of the situation confirmed the booking to MMA Junkie after an initial report by Combate.
Ribas has split her past six octagon appearances. She will drop back down to 115 pounds after going 1-2 in her return to flyweight, where she was edged out in a Fight of the Night battle against Katlyn Chookagian, picked up a win over Virna Jandiroba, then was stopped by Maycee Barber in her most recent outing at UFC on ABC 5 in June.
Unbeaten in the UFC, Contender Series graduate Pinheiro (11-1 MMA, 4-0 UFC) is coming off a split decision win over Michelle Waterson-Gomez at UFC 287 in April. The 29-year-old extended her winning streak to nine.
With the addition, the UFC Fight Night lineup for Nov. 18 includes:
