EA Sports has added Pride Series III Alter Egos to UFC 5, giving players a chance to jump into the octagon as Kevin Randleman, Don Frye or Wanderlei Silva. The trio can typically be unlocked through the in-game shop, punch card or by completing a Fight Week Challenge.
- Wanderlei Silva – Among his many highlight reel finishes in the PRIDE ring, one of Wanderlei Silva’s most notable is his knockout of Kazuyuki “Ol’ Ironhead” Fujita at PRIDE Crttical Countdown 2006, as “The Axe Murderer” handed Fujita his first clean finish loss in his career.
- Don Frye – Don Frye’s legendary brawl with Yoshihiro Takayama at PRIDE 21: Demolition is a must-watch and one of the most exciting matchups in PRIDE history. Get ready to throw down with “The Predator” and find out for yourself what he’s all about.
- Kevin Randleman – At PRIDE Total Elimination 2004, Kevin Randleman faced off against a heavily favored Mirko Cro Cop, who was poised to dominate the field in that year’s Heavyweight Grand Prix. Randleman had other plans, as he upset Cro Cop with a stoppage in under two minutes.
The team released UFC 5 patch 1.30 yesterday, bringing Daniel Rodriguez to the roster as the latest addition in the monthly one fighter trend that’s been in place since January. The update also included a set of vanity rewards and tackles a few rare crashes, though the team didn’t share any specifics.
