Performance of the Night: Kevin Holland
Kevin Holland def. Michal Oleksiejczuk via technical submission (armbar) – Round 1, 1:34
Kevin Holland (26-11 MMA, 13-8 UFC) got dropped by Michal Oleksiejczuk (19-8 MMA, 7-6 UFC), but recovered. Then he grabbed Oleksiejczuk’s arm and locked up an armbar that Oleksiejczuk refused to tap to. Ultimately, the referee stopped the fight when it appeared Oleksiejczuk’s arm had been broken in a brutal finish.
Performance of the Night: Islam Makhachev
Islam Makhachev def. Dustin Poirier via submission (D’Arce choke) – Round 5, 2:42
Islam Makhachev (26-1 MMA, 15-1 UFC) got a very serious test from Dustin Poirier (30-9 MMA, 22-8 UFC), who cut the lightweight champion open. But Makhachev wore Poirier down and eventually submitted him with a D’Arce choke just past the midway point of the fifth round. The finish was Makhachev’s third lightweight title defense, which ties the UFC record.
