BOSTON – Zhang Weili and Amanda Lemos both made weight relatively early in the weigh-ins window ahead of their UFC 292 title fight, but they presented differently thereafter.
Ahead of what she hopes to be her second successful UFC title defense Saturday at TD Garden, Weili (23-3 MMA, 7-2 UFC) was the second fighter on the card to step on the scales. She presented herself in a vintage, upbeat fashion with a heart-handed pose after she hit championship weight on the mark at 115 pounds.
Lemos (13-2-1 MMA, 7-2 UFC) presented a more serious demeanor, as she closely watched Massachusetts State Athletic Commission member Chris Palmquist fiddle with the beam scale. Ultimately, she hit her mark one pound under, at 114 pounds.
