PERTH, Australia – The featherweight division will get an interim champion at UFC 284 after Yair Rodriguez and Josh Emmett made weight.
At Friday’s UFC 284 official weigh-ins, both Rodriguez (14-3 MMA, 9-2 UFC) and Emmett (18-2 MMA, 9-2 UFC) did their jobs on the scale to determine an interim titleholder while Alexander Volkanovski moved up to lightweight.
Rodriguez registered at 145 pounds on the scale and so did Emmett, as both men compete in their first UFC championship bout.
