UEFA are making FFP change that Liverpool and FSG will benefit from
Liverpool won't be unduly concerned about the new financial regulations that look set to be imposed by UEFA to replace Financial Fair Play.
European football's governing body have been working for some time to try and find a workable replacement for FFP, which has had its critics in recent years with regards to being toothless and unable to wield any power over clubs to rein in spending, something that UEFA has argued against, claiming it has improved financial management across European football since it was first introduced a decade ago.

As football emerges from the pandemic, with heavy losses across the European game of more than £5bn, and with the spectre of the failed European Super League plot still looming large in the background, as well as considerable reform to the Champions League from 2024, UEFA are set to introduce a new set of financial controls, according to multiple reports.
The new model, which will be assessed at an executive board meeting of the European Club Association on Thursday, is believed to be referred to as 'financial sustainability regulations'. While FFP has placed limits on the losses clubs in European competition were able to make, FSR are seemingly geared towards tying spending more directly to revenues, where clubs will eventually only be able to spend 70 per cent of their revenues on player wages and the amortisation of transfers. Amortisation being the spreading of a transfer fee paid for a player for accounting purposes over the length of the player's contract.

Labour calls for Liverpool vs Manchester City FA Cup semi-final to be moved
Labour have called for next month's FA Cup semi-final clash at Wembley between Liverpool and Manchester City to be moved. Jurgen Klopp's side booked a spot in the last four with a win narrow 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday, but fans from both clubs face travel chaos with no trains running for the entire semi-final and Easter weekend.
Scheduled railway works will be taking place from April 15 to 18, which means services from Liverpool Lime Street will start and terminate at Rugby, while trains from Manchester Piccadilly will start and finish at Milton Keynes Central and run via Stoke-on-Trent.
Liverpool metro mayor Steve Rotheram and his Manchester counterpart Andy Burnham have both called for the match to be moved away from Wembley to a venue more suitable for supporters travelling from the north west. Now, Labour’s Shadow Culture Secretary Lucy Powell has also written to the FA chair Debbie Hewitt.
She wrote: "When directed to use National Rail journey planner, a 5.30 kick off would see Manchester City fans travelling three and a half hours, and Liverpool fans travelling four and a half hours with two changes. The return journey is even worse, and it would be almost impossible for fans to get home to either Manchester or Liverpool on the night of the match.
“In the midst of a cost-of-living crisis, fans shouldn’t have to struggle to pay extra costs for expensive travel or overnight stays to attend the Wembley match. It should be a priority for the FA to ensure that fans are not excluded from attending this game due to the difficulty of travel."

What Kylian Mbappe told Paul Pogba about PSG situation amid Liverpool transfer rumours
Kylian Mbappe may have provided another hint to suggest he is ready to quit Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
The 23-year-old forward continues to be linked with an exit from Mauricio Pochettino's side, having failed to reach any agreement over a new deal with his current employers. Mbappe is out of contract this summer and will be able to sign for a new club as a free agent.
Liverpool have been tentatively linked with the France international in recent years, though it was Real Madrid who made the move to acquire the services of the former Monaco man during the summer transfer window. Los Blancos saw a £137million bid for the exciting youngster knocked back, but are the favourites to become his new permanent home.
It appears that PSG's poor form is starting to take its toll on Mbappe, highlighted by a recent video involving Paul Pogba away on international duty. The Manchester United midfielder asked his compatriot how he was doing, to which the PSG star responded "I'm a little fed up."
