SEATTLE - A thrilling first-leg in Germany between Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain ended with a 1-0 win for the home side. In front of more than 80,000 fans Dortmund survived PSG's siege in the second half and will take a one-goal advantage to the second leg in Paris.

In a game full of attacking opportunities, Niclas Füllkrug's goal in the first half was the difference between both teams. The German international scored his third goal of the season in UCL play, becoming the first German player to score a goal for Dortmund in a Champions League semifinal since Lars Ricken in 1997.

Both teams had more than 10 shots during the game, but PSG wasn't able to find the perfect formula to crack Dortmund's defense. The French side hit the woodwork twice, with Kylian Mbappé hitting the post in one of those occasions.

Mbappé, who entered the game tied as the top scorer in the Champions League this season with eight goals, was held scoreless away at Dortmund for the second time this season. The French superstar has scored 43 goals in 45 games in all competitions this season.

All Dortmund players put on a heroic performance to seal the 1-0 win, with Dortmund players covering almost 120 kilometers during the match, 10km more than PSG.

Besides the goal scorer Füllkrug, Jadon Sancho had a fabulous game himself. According to Opta, the Englishman completed 12 of his dribbles against PSG, the most by any player in a Champions League semifinal since Lionel Messi did it against Manchester United in 2008 (16).
