UEFA has issued a public statement following chaotic scenes outside Stade de France ahead of last night's Champions League final.
Disturbing footage and first hand accounts said Reds supporters were stuck outside a gate unable to access the ground. Several people, including children and families, were forced to cover their mouths with clothing as French police used pepper spray.
ESPN's Mark Ogden shared footage from outside the gate and later said: "Police letting fans in ridiculously slowly. Pepper spray still in the air among the Liverpool fans. Police too heavy handed. Fans are calm and behaving themselves".
