The team paraded through the streets on a double-decker bus, showcasing the national title trophy from the state Capitol to the XL Center, their home arena.
The celebratory procession included marching bands, cheerleaders, first responders, state politicians, and enthusiastic fans waving UConn signs. The festivities followed the team's dominant 75-60 victory over Purdue in the NCAA Tournament final, capping an impressive two-year run where the Huskies won all 12 tournament games by double digits.
