The University of California Los Angeles canceled classes on Wednesday in response to a night of violence between groups of protesters. The decision was made after disturbances on Royce Quad late the previous night and early that morning.
In a social media post, the university stated, 'Due to the distress caused by the violence that took place on Royce Quad late last night and early this morning, all classes are cancelled today. Please avoid the Royce Quad area.'
