NFTs. Guess you haven’t heard that one in a few years, have you? If you don’t go on X and keep seeing those God- damned monkeys in their million digital variants, you probably completely forgot that they were even a thing at one point. Ah, the stuff COVID made us do.
But Ubisoft, in its infinite wisdom, kept pretending like NFTs never went away and maintained a full-blown game based on this web3 phenomenon for all these years. However, that’s not gonna last for much longer since, come October, the game is going offline for all time, while its NFT component was kill-switched this May.
As PC Gamer writes, Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles, Ubisoft’s NFT-based tactics game, is shutting down on Oct. 30 this year.
