Uber is cutting about 3,300 jobs, but the company's latest memo to employees contains another major change for those who remain. Uber is sharply reducing the number of employees who will be allowed to work fully remotely, putting a limit on the option that many workers have relied on since the pandemic, according to TOI.
The company will cap fully remote roles at about 1% of its workforce globally. Most employees who currently work remotely will instead be asked to move to an office near their team, while Uber's existing three-day-a-week hybrid policy will remain in place.
