Uber Eats app 'crashes' as hungry customers left without food

Hundreds of people are reportedly unable to order food as The Uber Eats app has crashed.

According to Down Detector, a website monitoring outages online, users began experiencing problems with the app at around 9:30pm on Wednesday, January 26.

Many took to social media to report restaurants weren't showing as they used the app to search.

Areas including Liverpool, London, Birmingham, Manchester and Hull were experiencing Uber eats problems.

When you open the app a yellow bar comes up at the top of the screen saying "Sorry, we are currently experiencing technical difficulties, please check back later!"

One social media user said: "Uber eEats is down and I don't know how to cook help."

Another added: "The one time I order Uber Eats the app stops working, and now idk if I’m getting my food or not."
