Uber driver allegedly gets into shouting match, tells another driver ‘I wanna be shot.’ All the while, his passenger fears for her life

People on TikTok have been shocked and appalled by the alleged frightening behavior of an Uber driver that a passenger filmed. The viral clip, which has received over five million likes and 32 million views, appears to show the driver angrily yelling at another vehicle before yelling, “I wanna be shot.”

The clip was posted by TikTok user “glitterclitter418,” who was apparently riding in the back of an Uber when the driver seemingly decided to start beef with another driver. From the backseat, the passenger films the angry driver before shifting focus to a car driving alongside them. The Uber driver can be heard shouting, “Do it,” repeatedly at the other car.

While it’s not clear in the video, judging by the driver’s response, it sounds as if the driver of the other car may have produced a weapon of some sort as the man shouts, “I wanna be shot.” Meanwhile, the passenger seems to be left fearing for her life as the text reads, “Well I do not wanna be shot??!!”

It’s unclear whether the video is a skit or real, but the caption at the very least makes light of the situation as it reads, “Type of Ubers I only get when I’m violently hungover.” Thankfully, it seems the road rage didn’t develop into anything deadly in this case.

Viewers suggest reporting the Uber driver

People on TikTok expressed their shock and disbelief that this alleged Uber ride had become so unhinged: “THIS WAS IN A UBER!??” one incredulous viewer wrote. Another commenter suggested that they “report this to the app and reach out to support for video evidence.” Meanwhile, a third joked, “You better give him 5 stars.”

This wouldn’t be the first time an Uber driver has behaved in a way that puts their passengers at risk. In fact, it’s quite common to see people share their horror stories with the rideshare service on TikTok; for example, one woman claimed her driver played audio of women crying during her ride, putting her off ever booking a ride on the app again.

People in the comments of the original video also shared their own near-death experiences in an Uber. One person claimed that their driver was experiencing psychosis and allegedly told them, “if we get pulled over there will be a shoot out.”

Of course, it’s not all bad; some Uber drivers do go above and beyond for their passengers, and in some cases, Uber drivers have had a positive impact, like one driver who allegedly stepped in after he heard his passenger’s cruel plans to dump his girlfriend.
