Uber cuts 10% of customer service staff in favor of AI

Uber has announced sweeping layoffs, the latest tech giant to make a cull of employees in favor of AI.

The company laid off 10 percent of its customer service department Wednesday to “simplify operations, strengthen in-person collaboration, and continue to embrace AI,” a company spokesperson told Yahoo Finance.
