As unstable weather and rainfall affect parts of the UAE, authorities have issued a clear warning to motorists and residents, urging caution near flood-prone areas and outlining strict penalties for behaviour that could put lives at risk.
UAE authorities have cautioned the public against approaching valleys, dams and flood channels during periods of heavy rain, stressing that such areas can quickly turn dangerous. The Ministry of Interior warned that gathering near these locations is a violation carrying a Dh1,000 fine and six traffic black points. The advisory forms part of broader efforts to prevent accidents and ensure public safety during adverse weather conditions.
