UAE-India flight alert for March 24: IndiGo warns of schedule changes; Air India, AIX to operate 24 flights

The ongoing conflict between US, Israel and Iran has extended into the larger Middle East. Countries including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Oman and others have been intercepting missile attacks from Iran.

Along with leading to civil tensions of safety and security among the public, these attacks have caused a larger shutdown of the Middle Eastern airspace, blocking one of the UAE's most vital sectors, air travel.

In order to transport passengers to their home lands across the world, airlines have been battling with increasing fuel costs and limited airspace availability to schedule flights across destinations. Now, Indian carriers IndiGo and Air India have updated of the flight schedule for March 24, which has been updated.

IndiGo warns of schedule changes

Passengers flying with IndiGo on March 24 have been advised to stay alert for schedule changes, as the airline operated limited flights for travellers.

While flights are running as planned, the airline cautioned that timings may shift at short notice due to the evolving situations in the Middle East.

Since air travel in the region remains sensitive to geopolitical developments, the airline advised the passengers to check their flight status before leaving their abodes.

Air India and Air India Express to operate 24 flights

Air India and Air India Express will operate a combined 24 flights, both scheduled and non-scheduled between India and GCC on March 24, 2026. Moreover, the airlines will run 10 additional non-scheduled flights to and from the UAE depending on slot availability and local airport conditions.

Regular scheduled services will continue between India and Jeddah with 10 flights. Air India will operate one return flight from Delhi and two from Mumbai.

Air India Express will operate one flight from Hyderabad and Kozhikode each. Air India Express will also run four scheduled flights connecting Delhi and Mumbai with Muscat.

Passengers have been advised to check their flight timings and availability before leaving for the airport.

Flights to and from the Middle East are operating in limited airspace and schedules which make them more susceptible to frequent changes. Thus, travellers are consistently advised to stay in touch with the airlines' official channels and provide their contact number to appropriate authorities to be notified of changes, if any.
