
The mayor of the border city of Laredo warned residents to "exercise heightened caution" if they plan to travel to Mexico following the killing of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, also known as "El Mencho," the leader of the Cártel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG).
Mayor Victor Treviño warned of the "potential for instability or retaliatory violence that can sometimes follow such operations."
