U.S. intelligence agencies are investigating whether Russia helped Iran carry out drone attacks against sensitive CIA facilities in the Middle East, including by supplying targeting information or advanced technology that may have improved the precision of the strikes.
According to Reuters, the inquiry remains preliminary, and American officials have not reached a definitive conclusion that Moscow directly assisted Tehran. However, the accuracy of several Iranian attacks during the opening phase of the war has raised concerns among intelligence analysts about whether Iran acted with outside support, according to four people familiar with U.S. intelligence.
