A nuclear bomber took off from the West Country today (April 7) as it heads towards Denmark.
The B52 Boeing B-52H Stratofortress took off from the RAF base in Fairford, Gloucestershire, just after 9am. It is not the first US military plane to have departed from the area in recent days.
Last Friday, another U.S. B-52H Stratofortress took off from the area to head towards the Middle East. It was joined by Royal Air Force of Oman Eurofighter Typhoons above Oman and Qatar Emiri Air Force F-15QAs over the Arabian Gulf.
