An undisputed fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk is “very unlikely” to happen next, the Ukrainian’s promoter has confirmed.
Negotiations between the two camps have been taking place for months, with Wembley Stadium booked for April 29 to stage the fight in London had a deal been reached.
Usyk, WBA IBF, and WBO heavyweight champion after his two wins over Anthony Joshua, has been pushing for a 50/50 split, though his team revealed they have offered a deal to Fury that would have seen the winner take 60% of the purse.
Fury took to social media to lay out his latest demands, with his comments making it clear that a breakthrough is certainly not imminent.
“I see all this talk of boxing fights,” the WBC champion said. “They want 50 per cent, Usyk and all this, Tyson is being greedy.

“Where I’m standing, Usyk, you and your team are worth 30 per cent. You either take it, or you leave it, and if you don’t want it, I’ll fight Daniel Dubois at The Copperbox and get a few million dollars.
“You want to make some real money, come and fight The Gypsy King. But I will say, for every day from today that you linger and mess around, I’m going to deduct one per cent from the 30 per cent.”
With that April date now just seven weeks away, an undisputed bout looks incredibly unlikely, and mandatory requirements for Usyk will make it difficult for all the belts to be on the line in future.
Promoter Alex Krassyuk has confirmed that his fighter may have to now look elsewhere for his next bout, blaming Fury for the failure to reach a deal.
“I don’t think Fury and Usyk will fight in April - or even next as Usyk has his mandatory obligations,” Krassyuk told BBC Sport.
“Unless Queensberry [Fury’s promoters] somehow win a jackpot lottery and have enough money to pay Tyson’s demands, it is very unlikely to happen.
“Everyone was on board. The only thing that was pending was Tyson Fury’s consent, which is still pending.”
