Head of Wasserman Boxing Kalle Sauerland has warned that the proposed fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will only be confirmed once both fighters are in the ring and the first bell goes.
The German promoter is in the UK promoting Lyndon Arthur's return to action against Walter Gabriel Sequeira this weekend at the University of Bolton Stadium. However, he will have been aware of the goings on between Fury and Joshua as their well-publicised negotiations continue.
As it currently stands, Frank Warren has confirmed that negotiations are '90% done' but has urged those with an interest to be cautious as a fight can never be guaranteed to be taking place with all of the moving parts involved in such negotiations.

This is a sentiment which has been echoed by Sauerland, who spoke about the proposed bout to the Manchester Evening News ahead of Arthur's fight, which will be broadcast live on free-to-air television on Channel Five on Saturday.
He said that despite his lack of involvement in negotiations that any fight can fall through and that fans should wait until the December 3rd proposed date to see if it will actually happen. Sauerland has been working alongside Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn for his client Chris Eubank Jr's fight against Connor Benn which takes place on October 8th.
Sauerland explained: "They’re not my fighters so I couldn’t tell you if the fight is signed and sorted, or if we’ll be colonising the moon first. Of course it would be a big fight, and I’m sure their respective promoters are trying to get things done. Boxing is a funny old game, and you can only guarantee a fight is on when that first bell goes."
