Tyson Fury told fans can "see through the bulls***" after fight cancellations

Heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has been told he is "his own worst enemy" for several big fights falling through during his career.

Fury was scheduled to meet fellow champion Oleksandr Usyk in an undisputed fight on April 29 but the fight fell apart after both parties failed to reach an agreement. 'The Gypsy King' could be set to fight Usyk in Saudi Arabia at the end of the year in a historic card that would be headlined by Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder.

Former world champion Johnny Nelson has insisted that Fury is the only top heavyweight he can think of that has constantly seen big fights be cancelled. The pundit thinks fans are growing sick of the Brit's games and has told Fury that he is the only person to blame for fights falling by the wayside.

“Unfortunately I think that the public are now seeing through the ‘BS’ because I can’t think of any top heavyweight fighter, where so many fights have fallen by the way side, for one reason or another. Through negotiations or whatever it is. I think Tyson Fury will probably be his own worst enemy," Nelson told iDBoxing.

Fury has dismissed reports of the four-man heavyweight tournament rumoured for December and Usyk's manager, Alex Krassyuk, has insisted the Brit is the only fighter preventing the historic event from taking place. Krassyuk insists that Joshua and Wilder are both to negotiate with but Fury's "complex personality" has been a major stumbling block in trying to negotiate the tournament.

“From my perspective and from my experience, ‘AJ’ is not a very complicated person to deal with. Deontay Wilder and Shelley Finkel are very reasonable people … we got in touch with him a couple of weeks ago for the first time in 10 years and we had quite a long conversation. I don't think it would be a big challenge for anyone to make a deal with him," Klismas told BT Sport Boxing.

"Oleksandr Usyk and his team are known to be the easiest people to deal with in the world of boxing. So there’s only one thing still pending and it’s a complex personality who goes back and forth, playing his games to try and squeeze as much money as possible. That was the reason why Usyk called him greedy belly. I think that if this fight does not take place it would be one of the biggest mistakes Tyson Fury could make in his career."
