Tyson Fury is set to make an unannounced appearance when the WWE hosts its first UK stadium show for 30 years in Cardiff on Saturday.
The British heavyweight made his WWE in-ring debut in 2019 and many fans had hoped that the Gypsy King would wrestle his second match at the WWE Clash at the Castle in Cardiff. There has been no announcement that Fury will appear or fight on Saturday, but he is set to be involved.
Talks continue with Fury and Ukrainian world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, which could be one reason why the British heavyweight will not compete in the ring on Saturday.
Fury will reportedly attend the pre-event Wrestlefest in Cardiff and then appear at the Principality Stadium on Saturday evening for the WWE event. The heavyweight boxer first became involved with WWE with a Smackdown appearance on FOX in October 2019.
Later that month Fury went on to beat Braun Strowman in his debut wrestling fight. Fury has previously been involved in a war of words with WWE star Drew McIntyre who last year claimed the Gipsy King was 'stalking him' on social media.
The rivalry started when Scottish wrestler McIntry called out the heavyweight. Fury accepted the challenge of a wrestling match in April 2020, but the meeting has never happened.
“ Tyson Fury is stalking me,” McIntyre told The Big Issue last year . “It’s the most bizarre sentence. I’d wake up every day and I’ve got another message on social media from Tyson Fury. Maybe I should answer him.”
McIntyre is two-time WWE champion and was the first wrestler from Britain to win the title. Last year he said a fight against Fury would help bring the WWE to Britain for a pay-per-view event and he 'wanted to make it happen'.
McIntyre will fight in Saturday's main event against Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship title. Fury could add some spice to the showcase with an unannounced appearance.
