Frank Warren will continue to try and convince Tyson Fury to come back to boxing with a further meeting later this week.
He has already had a number of discussions with the world heavyweight champion surrounding his retirement, including a lunch with his wife Paris and a series of media appearances. But Fury is standing by his decision to retire, insisting that his price is an unsustainable £500million to fight for the undisputed title later this year.
However, Warren is still trying to convince him to make a return to the ring just weeks after his latest title defence against Dillian Whyte. Fury is currently promoting a speaking tour around the UK, and has vowed to never box professionally again despite his own wife saying she doubts he's being truthful.
"Whatever he wants to do, I'm behind him 100 per cent to make sure it happens," Warren told iFL TV. "If he wants to retire we'll make sure that he enjoys his retirement. We will help him with it. But I don't know what's going to happen tomorrow, we're meeting again this week and we'll see where we go.
"For obvious reasons, everyone's in a rush and they want to know what's going on and they want him [Fury] to do this and that but he's got all the time in the world to make a decision as to what his future is going to be."
Warren remains confident that he will be announcing some exciting news with Fury soon, whether that be a professional fight or an exhibition. And the boxer has insisted that he will maintain his status as the WBC heavyweight champion for the maximum possible time period.
During his first run as the world heavyweight champion back in 2015, it took just days for the sport's politics to see him stripped of belts. And he plans to repay the favour by holding onto the WBC belt, which he won from Deontay Wilder in 2020 to complete the set, for the year that he is allowed after defending against mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte.

That bout with Whyte at Wembley Stadium took place in front of 94,000 fans on Fury's home soil, and he believes it was the perfect end point for his career. His wife Paris agreed, but still feels that he has the fire to want to compete again as he continues his rigorous training regime to stay in fight shape during his retirement.
“I'd like him to retire," Paris told Piers Morgan on his Talk TV show last week. "But there's something in the back of my mind saying he's itching for another fight. It's there - woman's instinct, there's something still calling him out there.
“As the wife, I just look and wonder ‘are you done?’ I hope he is. I hope he chooses another path but honestly, I think there is a question mark there.”
