Fans of Tyson Fury have a rare opportunity to meet the world boxing champion during his official 'after-party' tour which brings him to the North East this July..
The world legend is now on the road with Fury Fest, described as 'one massive party', as he celebrates his successful defence of his WBC heavyweight title. And the Gypsy King is out to meet as many fans as possible en route - and that includes in the North East where he will be visiting four venues in as many days.
The tour will bring him to The Fed - formerly called The Lancastrian Suite - in Gateshead on July 7, to be followed by the Rainton Arena in Houghton-le-Spring, Sunderland, on July 8; Stockon Globe on July 9 and the Mayfair Centre in Hartlepool on July 10. There local fans will have the chance to meet their hero, have their photograph taken with him and even receive a signed boxing glove - for a price.
Tickets are now on sale for meet-and-greet events ranging in price from a standard package to include a professional photo with Fury for £149 to a 'VVIP' option which includes front tier seating, the photo plus a signed glove for £299. And the champ clearly has plenty loyal fans up north as this latter package, both for individual tickets and for tables of 10, is already sold out for the Gateshead date. Tickets remain for options without the glove.

Aside from £299 (with glove) meet-and-greet, Rainton Arena currently has tickets available for entry-only at £40 - which includes seating at the back where people can watch the live interview with Tyson. And Stockton has tickets starting at £34.65 while Hartlepool has current availability for both the £99 and £299 meet-and-greet packages.
The tour wil see Fury, classed as the greatest heavyweight of his generation, share his life story with fans and as everyone knows it's a remarkable one. They can expect to hear, for instance, all about his trilogy fights with Deontay Wilder and also what might happen next following that sixth round knockout of Dillian Whyte in April which saw him defend his title in front of 95,000 fans at Wembley Stadium.
The Fury Fest promises to be an up-close and personal evening full of entertainment, with Q&As and a party atmosphere. Sports auctions, special guests and DJs are also expected to add to the mix.
Fury said: “We’re going to have a party! This is a great way to meet my fans and share what I know about my incredible boxing career. The highs, the lows, the struggle, the hard work, it’s all made me the fighter I am and I wouldn’t have it any other way."
He added: "After a night of stories, memories and insights into the sport of boxing my fans will know so much more about me. It’s very exciting and I can’t wait to start the tour and see the world!”
Besides locations across the UK, the tour, which is hosted by Gold Star Promotions, will then take in New Zealand, Australia, Canada, the US, Far East and the Middle East. It got underway on June 23 in Derby and upcoming UK dates will include Carlisle and Liverpool before Fury heads to the North East.
After he leaves the region, he will go on to Bristol, Wales, Nottingham then, on July 19, the Isle of Man, after which there will be more UK locations - with tickets yet to be released for sale - before the world leg. A spokesman for Gold Star Promotions called the show a "once in a lifetime event", adding: “Tyson Fury is the biggest name in sport today.
"He is truly a one off both in and out of the ring. His inspiring story has earned him millions of fans around the world, something he is immensely proud of.
"The Gypsy King’s incredible story will probably never been repeated because he is so unique." For tickets for all North East dates: see here.
