Tyson Fury's heartbreak after announcing death of cousin

Tyson Fury has spoken of his heartbreak after announcing the death of his cousin' on Saturday night. The professional boxer, originally from Wythenshawe, took to social media to share the devastating news on Sunday.

Within minutes, the post amassed thousands of likes, with hundreds paying tribute to his cousin. He named him publicly as Rico Burton.

In the image, which read 'Stop Knife Crime', Fury went on to call on the Government to increase sentencings for those involved in knife crime following reports his cousin had been stabbed. He added that life 'is very precious' and 'can be taken away very quick'.

He wrote that his cousin had been 'stabbed in the neck' in the incident, before adding: "This is becoming ridiculous - idiots carry knives. This needs to stop."

"Asap, UK Government needs to bring higher sentencing for knife crime, it's a pandemic and you don't know how bad it is until it's one of your own!"

"Life is very precious and it can be taken away very quick enjoy every moment. RIP RICO BURTON. May the lord god grant you a good place in heaven. see you soon."

Further details about where his cousin was allegedly stabbed have not yet been confirmed.
