Tyson Fury's dad John has slammed his son's team, including trainer SugarHill Steward, in a furious outburst.
Fury looked set to face Oleksandr Usyk in a battle for the undisputed titles last month but the fight was shelved after negotiations fell at the final hurdle. The 'Gypsy King' was left furious and slammed his rival in an X-rated outburst following the collapse, but it is now expected he will instead return in July with a stadium date pencilled in for London.
Usyk walked away from the negotiations after being left unhappy by the WBC champion's public demands, but Fury's father diverted the blame for the collapse to the respective teams. He even criticised the champion's trainer Steward who suggested he had flown over to the US to train Lawrence Okolie as opposed to preparing Fury for a clash against Usyk.
And Fury Sr has now doubled down on these criticisms insisting that he tells his son the truth with regards to his boxing career. “Tyson likes different people around him telling him how great he is," he told Stamina For Sale. "I’ll tell them straight, if it’s not working I’ll say it’s not working. In Tyson’s case, he don’t like the truth, but I’m going to tell him it anyway because he’s my son and it’s on his best interests.
“All the SugarHills, everybody out there, they’re all 10% men. They’re all after the 10%. It’s a business, you can’t blame them. They’re thinking of their own ends and making a living. But it’s up to you to have enough brains to see through that. You don’t move them out of their job. Don’t make a friend out of them, or get close to them.
"They’re not going to tell you the truth are they? Frightened of getting sacked. “There’s many times [Tyson’s] looked rough in the gym and I’ve said that’s not too good today, mate. ‘What do you mean?’ I say ‘I’ve told you, need to improve.' But they don’t listen to their dad, do they? Nobody does.”

Fury is expected to link up with mentor Steward if he is to begin preparations for his upcoming contest which is likely to be against Andy Ruiz Jr. The 'Gypsy King' has already promised exciting news while taking part in a workout in his gym, with his latest defence could potentially setting up a huge showdown at the end of the year.
It is expected that the 34-year-old could be thrust into a four-man heavyweight tournament with an undisputed fight against Usyk seen as part of the plan. However Fury has currently denied the reports insisting there has yet to be any talks for the lucrative plan, despite Joshua, Wilder and Usyk already having been approached.
