Tyson Fury's dad John tells Eddie Hearn he has "blown £100m deal" for Anthony Joshua

Tyson Fury's dad John has hit out at promoter Eddie Hearn following the collapse of a deal for his son to fight Oleksandr Usyk.

Fury had been negotiating a fight with Usyk which would crown the first undisputed heavyweight world champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999.

But such a deal hinged on Anthony Joshua accepting £15million to waive his right to a rematch with Usyk, on the condition he fought the winner of the undisputed clash.

Hearn claimed this week that it was Fury who walked away after demanding a warm-up bout in March before a clash with the Ukrainian.

And Fury Sr has confirmed his son performed a U-turn with the world champion now preparing to fight Dillian Whyte.

"Jealousy has taken over his brains. Eddie Hearn has just blown AJ £100million! What kind of a businessman is he? How can you take notice of Eddie Hearn? We can run rings round the likes of Eddie Hearn.

“He’s a young kid, had everything given to him by his father and thinks he’s the best thing since sliced bread," he told talksSPORT.

"You know the best thing of it all? The deal was on the table for five weeks, five weeks! £15million for free, £5million for free [for Dillian Whyte] and now Tyson has done a U-turn and thought ‘f*** youse lot, you’re copping it.

“Eddie Hearn… he thinks he’s clever but he’s not dealt with Fury before. He’s dealt with them now and wishes he’d never heard of the Fury name. He wishes the Fury name never existed.

“He’s just blown AJ a hundred million quid and he was getting 10 per cent of all that… he’s blown himself [sic]£20million. We are laughing at you my friend. You have egg on your face!

“You want business, Eddie? You need to stop asking your old fella for advice, believe me. A ten-year-old boy could’ve put that deal together."

Hearn said earlier that he was "baffled" by Fury's antics and blamed him for talks collapsing.

"Fury's made it clear... I see all his instagram stuff laughy laughy, but he's actually the one who didn't want to fight Usyk," he told Boxing Social.

"He's the one who has lost all that money, I'm baffled. But anyway, that's what is happening and if he wants to fight Dillian Whyte, brilliant, we will proceed with that."

"Win or lose the purse bid that fight will happen. I believe Dillian Whyte can win that fight, especially with everything that's gone on, it clouds the brain, it really does.

"I'd love to promote that fight, I mean it's worth paying the money to get to promote it, to be the lead promoter. We'll see what happens."
