Tyson Fury's dad admits he and heavyweight champion had "too many" strong beers

Tyson Fury 's dad admits he and his son had "too many" beers whilst sweating off the calories on a morning jog.

Fury has been spending time with his family since announcing his boxing retirement. They are currently soaking up in the sun in Cannes, spending time on a £18,000 per night luxury yacht.

The luxury vessel, which costs £42million, has a jacuzzi on board and comes equipped with jet skis. But Fury and his dad admitted they enjoyed their drink just a bit too much the other night, attempting to cure the hangover with a morning run through Cannes.

"Nice run this morning with dad through the city, sweat them few sherbets out, strong beer though weren't it," Fury said whilst out running with his dad. "Back at it, too many we had last night, strong beer, the strongest I've had," agreed John.

Fury praised his 57-year-old dad for taking part in the training camp for his world title clash against Dillian Whyte last month. The undefeated Brit even pushed for Frank Warren to put his dad on the undercard of the event, something 'Gypsy John' laughed off.

'The Gypsy King' has been making the most of his family time, particularly milking the services of his wife Paris. From being fed carrot sticks to asking for back rubs, Paris has joked Fury's requests have been going on for three days during their holiday.

Fury was also recently involved in an altercation with a taxi driver during his time in the south of France. Footage captured from a passer-by shows Fury being led to a taxi with his dad and entourage before unsuccessfully trying to open the back door. Fury seemed angry with the driver of the taxi and kicked out at the car as it drove off.

The Brit's retirement has raised question marks over the future of his WBC title. Fury won the belt by knocking out Deontay Wilder in their 2020 rematch and has since defended it twice. WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman insists he won't strip Fury just yet, allowing him to enjoy some family time before making a decision.

"Tyson Fury confirmed how great he is inside the ring and outside the ring, he is also a hero," Sulaiman told Planet Sport. "We’re going to give him the time he needs to reflect, to relax, he just [fought] the mandatory of the division."
