Tyson Fury net worth compared to Francis Ngannou reveals shocking difference

Following Francis Ngannou's win over Cyril Gane at last night's UFC 270, their respective pay for the fight has been revealed by the California State Atheltic Comission.

Ngannou took $600,000 home for beating Gane, with his opponent pocketing $500,000 in what was a fight to determine the undisputed heavyweight champion in UFC.

It is hardly surprising that Ngannou is pushing for a fight against Tyson Fury, who was paid $30million for his last fight in the trilogy against Deontay Wilder.

A fight with Fury is a massive money spinner for any fighter, as exemplified by the purse bids row with Dillian Whyte ahead of their proposed bout in March.

The first massive crossover fight of its kind was between Connor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather with with Mayweather earning $280million from the fight and McGregor earning $130 million.

This would be a huge increase in pay for Ngannou, who reportedly has a net worth of $4million, in comparison to Fury's empire which is valued at £40million.

Any fight is likely to be negotiated with the UFC acting as Ngannou's promoters, as they did for McGregor but it is unlikely that they would be able to sell the fight for the same price as they did for the Irishman in 2017.
