Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority, has hinted at a shock rematch between Tyson Fury and boxing legend Wladimir Klitschko.
The Ukrainian still holds the record for the longest reign as heavyweight champion in history at 4,382 days and retired in 2017 after losing to Anthony Joshua.
‘Dr Steelhammer'’, however, is reportedly considering stepping out of retirement amid suggestions he was prepared to face Daniel Dubois for the IBF world title.
Dubois, who brutally knocked out Joshua earlier this year, will now defend his title against Joseph Parker on a stellar night of boxing in Saudi Arabia in February.
Klitschko, however, could be offered another surprise route back to the ring.
Alalshikh has hinted the 48-year-old could return to finally square off against Fury again.
The ‘Gypsy King’ beat Klitschko by way of unanimous decision to claim the WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO and The Ring magazine heavyweight titles back in 2015. A rematch scheduled a year later was postponed due to Fury’s ankle injury before the British heavyweight vacated his titles to deal with his recovery from mental health struggles.
Still, should Fury overcome Oleksandr Usyk later this month in their blockbuster undisputed rematch, Klitschko could seemingly come up on the radar again.
Saudi power broker Alalshikh told the Ariel X Ade Show: “The result of Tyson vs. Usyk, a lot of people are waiting for them.
"One of them is Dubois. Another is Joshua. At the same time, there is a third person.
“I am dreaming of seeing this fight to give chance if he accepts to give Klitschko to give back to be the oldest heavyweight champion ever.

"To give him the chance. This is perfect. Of course, he won’t fight Usyk if he wins because they’re two heroes from Ukraine will not fight each other. This is the dream.
"Fury has a lot of people that want him in the line. Klitschko, all the people want to see it from 2015 again.
“And there's also Joshua, which would be the hugest Britain fight ever [against Fury]. Of course, Dubois deserves this chance. Let’s see."
Usyk beat Fury by split decision in May and will defend the undisputed title on December 21.
