Tyson Fury given Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk demand despite retirement

Lennox Lewis has encouraged Tyson Fury to extend his boxing career and try to become the undisputed heavyweight world champion.

Fury added another chapter to his stellar fighting legacy with a win over Dillian Whyte at Wembley on Saturday. The Gypsy King earned a sixth-round stoppage, landing a perfect uppercut on his opponent's chin and finishing the bout.

Afterwards, Fury made it clear that he will follow through on his pre-fight promise to walk away from boxing. He did indicate he would be open to exhibition opportunities though, as well as another stint in the WWE.

However, Lewis took to social media to advise Fury to stay in the boxing business and potentially unify the titles when he comes up against the winner of Oleksandr Usyk's rematch with Anthony Joshua.

"A great showing by Tyson Fury tonight," said Lewis on Twitter. "It emphatically keeps him as the man to beat. He’s already in a very exclusive club in boxing, but I look forward to welcoming him to the #undisputed club. Let’s get it done!"

Lewis is also rated as one of the all-time great heavyweights and is the last boxer in the weight class to have achieved undisputed status.

Joshua and Usyk appear set for a rematch later in the year, with the former looking to avenge the defeat he suffered last year.
