Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder made a combined £37million in their trilogy fight.
The two heavyweights put on three classic fights over a three-year period, dropping one another in multiple occasions, while boxing 30 rounds.
Fury emerged victorious in the final two fights, after the first was a draw which many feel the Gypsy King had also won, with Wilder giving a great account of himself, performing well in all three fights.
Billed as one of the most highly-anticipated fights in heavyweight boxing history, it's obvious to see why the contest was so popular around the world - with millions tuning in.
Figures have revealed that both men were paid handsomely, making a combined £37m. For UFC fighters though, it's a different story.
Over the last few years, UFC events have begun to gain more PPV sales than big boxing cards in what has been a huge rise by Dana White's MMA company.
The UFC have done a fantastic job in marketing their product, gaining millions of fans each year.
However, the disparity between their fighters pay to boxing is huge - as can be revealed by this staggering statistic.
At UFC 270 this past weekend, the fighters took home a combined £1.36 million. That is 25 times less than what Fury and Wilder earned for their trilogy fight.
The issue between UFC and boxers pay disparity has been one which has frequently been brought to the forefront the last few years, highlighted when Conor McGregor turned to boxing to fight Floyd Mayweather.
The Irish UFC legend is said to have made over 30 times of what he made in his entire UFC career in his one boxing bout.
And Francis Ngannou, who successfully defended his belt at UFC 270, has also stated that he's looking to move to boxing, whilst openly admitting that fighters pay is a huge reason for him wanting to do so.
The Cameroonian made just $600,000 in his fight with Ciryl Gane - which was billed as the most exciting heavyweight title fight in years. Ngannou is already targeting a fight against Fury.
YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul has recently criticised UFC president White for not treating his fighters fairly.
Paul even promised to retire from boxing and fight Jorge Masvidal in UFC if White agrees to three demands that will effect the entirety of UFC.
Ngannou is now a free agent after his fight with Gane, and hopes to re-sign with the UFC, with a stipulation added that he's able to box the likes of Fury, Anthony Joshua or Wilder if the opportunity arises.
The UFC have almost effectively lost McGregor after his Mayweather fight - only fighting a handful of times in the last five years.
Losing Ngannou to boxing would be a huge blow, and set a worrying precedent moving forward.
It's unclear to know if the UFC will revise their pay packages, but if they don't, this issue will not go away.
