Tyrell Malacia and Charlie McNeill poke fun at Manchester United teammate Alejandro Garnacho

Manchester United duo Tyrell Malacia and Charlie McNeill have each mocked teammate Alejandro Garnacho following the latter's latest Instagram post.

Taking to the social media platform on Saturday, Garnacho, who has made three appearances for United so far this season, uploaded a photograph of himself sat on a bar stool in what appears to be somebody's kitchen. The youngster was snapped looking away from the camera, potentially because he was talking to someone else in the room.

However, Malacia, who joined United during the summer transfer window from Dutch outfit Feyenoord, felt the urge to respond to his teammate and aim a light-hearted joke in his direction. He tagged fellow United youngster McNeill within his comment, suggesting that Garnacho was posing as though he was taking part in a model's photoshoot.

Replying to Garnacho's original upload, Malacia said: "@charliemcneill9, model?"

It promoted a response from McNeill, who, before writing anything posted three laughing emojis, said: "Never bro."

Whether or not there is an ongoing joke going on between the three of them, it is not clear. However, Garnacho's post certainly did enough to capture Malacia's and McNeill's attention.

Garnacho, who looked very relaxed, did not put a caption alongside the photograph he shared. However, it did say that he was in Madrid, which is his home city, meaning he is most probably using the current international break to return to his homeland and visit members of his family and friends.

The 18-year-old, who starred on route on to helping United win the FA Youth Cup last season, will be determined to start and earn more regular opportunities under Reds manager Erik ten Hag as the season progresses. He has made three substitute appearances so far and his longest outing has only amounted to 19 minutes, that coming in the Europa League defeat to Real Sociedad earlier this month.
