A message sent in seconds can trigger consequences that last far longer. According to Gulf Today, an Arab man has appeared before the Sharjah Misdemeanour Court after what he described as a simple spelling mistake in a WhatsApp exchange led to charges of electronic insult.
The case was filed after a complainant, identified in court records as B.F., accused the defendant of insulting him through messages sent via WhatsApp. Following the complaint, an official report was lodged, prompting legal proceedings and the defendant’s appearance before the court.
