Developers behind a popular Tyneside leisure destination which closed earlier this year have revealed plans for its return.
Newcastle Stack provided four years of entertainment set within a shopping container village on the former Odeon cinema site in the city centre, before it closed in May. The attraction closed to make way for construction of the new HMRC offices, but developers had hopes it could return elsewhere.
Danieli Group, the company behind the scheme, has now revealed plans for a new pop-up Stack which will be in place for a year, should proposals submitted to Newcastle City Council be approved. Plans are also currently being finalised for a new permanent Stack to return to the city, with details of the scheme – and new location – to be unveiled in the near future.
