Tyler Roberts looks set to return to Leeds United after posting a farewell message to loan club QPR. The Wales international joined the Championship side in a season-long switch last summer, with the club holding an option to make the move permanent.
However, the 24-year-old's stint in the capital was plagued by injuries, and the forward was restricted to 20 appearances. Gareth Ainsworth's side ultimately finished 20th - six points clear of the relegation zone - and reports indicated the loan would be made permanent if their Championship status was preserved.
Roberts' last two goals for QPR came in a 2-2 draw with Reading in January, with a calf injury limiting his game-time in the closing months of the campaign. The forward took to social media to thank the club's fanbase for their support, despite accepting the season did not pan out how either the team or the loanee would have wanted.

He posted: "Thank You. Although our time together did not work out the way both sides wanted and we went through a lot of lows this season, I want to thank you for the love and support shown throughout, I always worked as hard as possible to be fit and helping the team out, we still had some great memories together that will stay with me! I wish the club nothing but success in the future."
Roberts looks set to return to Elland Road with a year left on his contract, although questions over his future will have to be put on hold as the Whites continue to battle for top-flight survival. Sam Allardyce's side host Newcastle United on Saturday lunchtime, and currently sit two points adrift of safety with three matches remaining.
