Tyler Morton has detailed the chats he had with two Liverpool team-mates before his loan move to Blackburn Rovers.
The 19-year-old became the latest Reds youngster to make a temporary switch to the Championship club. Liverpool are keen for him to gain further senior experience after making his first-team breakthrough last season.
Morton broke into the first team last term and was handed opportunities in the Premier League and Champions League, as well as the domestic cup competitions. The midfielder has since been a regular figure during pre-season, and will now seek regular first-team football with Blackburn.

After completing his move to Blackburn, Morton has explained the motives behind his decision. Having progressed through the youth ranks at Liverpool, this is the first time has has left Anfield in his young career.
"I’m absolutely buzzing and I can’t wait to get going at such a historic club," Morton told RoversTV. "It’s really exciting for me and it was a very easy decision for me to make.
“As soon as a club with this stature comes in for you it’s something that excites. I was desperate to get the move over the line.
"I’m very happy to be a Liverpool player but I need this experience to come and play for such a club like Rovers. It’s a massive thing for me to come here and I’m looking forward to showing the fans, the head coach and my new team-mates exactly what I’ve got.
“I’d love to get my career started and see where it takes me."
Morton has become the third Liverpool player in recent seasons to make a loan move to Blackburn. He follows Harvey Elliott and Leighton Clarkson, who each made temporary switches in recent campaigns.
After moving to Ewood Park, Morton has explained how he chatted to both Elliott and Clarkson about the deal.
“Speaking to Harvey and Leighton, they gave a real positive impression about the club and they persuaded me a bit more to come here, not that I needed much persuading," said Morton..
“I’ve heard nothing but positivity from them about the place. I want to follow in their footsteps, play games, get experience and look to kick on."
