Midfielder Tyler Adams has returned to the United States men's national team roster for the first time since the 2022 World Cup, as the USMNT prepares to compete for the Concacaf Nations League title later this month. The roster, announced by head coach Gregg Berhalter, features key players such as AC Milan winger Christian Pulisic and Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie.
The U.S. team, aiming for their third Nations League title, will face Jamaica in the semifinals on March 21 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The final and third-place matches will follow three days later at the same venue, with Mexico and Panama also in contention. Players are set to report on March 18 in the Dallas metropolitan area.
Pulisic, with 64 appearances, is the most-capped player on the roster, followed by Fulham defender Tim Ream with 55. The team's objective, as stated by Berhalter, is to excel in knockout round matches and challenge for the title with a group of experienced players.
Adams, who has overcome injury, joins the squad for the first time since captaining the team at the World Cup in Qatar. Norwich City forward Josh Sargent, recovering from an ankle injury, is also included in the roster. Despite limited playing time for Bournemouth this season, Adams made the bench in a recent match, while Sargent has been in impressive form with 12 goals in 19 matches since his return.
Twenty-one of the 23 players have been part of at least one Nations League-winning squad, with seven players involved in both championship runs. Sergiño Dest, McKennie, Yunus Musah, Pulisic, Gio Reyna, Antonee Robinson, and Tim Weah are among those players. Dest will miss the semifinal against Jamaica due to suspension.
The U.S. will face familiar opponents in Jamaica, with a history of 32 matches dating back to 1988. While holding an advantage in the overall record, recent encounters have been closely contested. The roster includes a mix of experienced and emerging talents, ready to compete for another Nations League title.
