Tyler Adams is likely to leave RB Leipzig this summer amid speculation over a move to Leeds United - one of many teams ‘exploring this possibility’, according to Fabrizio Romano . Adams has been linked with a move to Elland Road after falling down the pecking order at his current club, and the 23-year-old has ‘been connected’ with the Whites on several occasions.
Adams has attracted interest across Europe from Sevilla and Benfica but could prefer a reunion with Jesse Marsch, who gave Adams his professional debut for New York Red Bulls in 2015. The Whites boss is keen to strengthen the midfield area, and is looking to add further reinforcements following the imminent signing of Bayern Munich midfielder Marc Roca.
Adams featured 37 times across all competitions for Leipzig last season, but has fallen behind the likes of Konrad Laimer and Amadou Haidara in the pecking order. And transfer journalist Romano admitted that he feels the defensive midfielder will leave the Bundesliga club this summer, with Leeds one of several sides interested.

“My feeling is yes, he is going to leave the club this summer.” Romano told the Que Golazo Podcast “At the moment there is still nothing agreed with any club, but many clubs are exploring this possibility, including Leeds, but at the moment still nothing agreed.
“For Tyler Adams, he’s a name they have of course in Leeds with Jesse Marsch it’s normal to consider him as an interesting opportunity for the midfield. At the moment it’s still not advanced, but to answer your question I do see Tyler Adams leaving the club this summer.”
With speculation over Kalvin Phillips’ departure intensifying, a move for Adams would make sense. Manchester City are thought to be preparing a bid of around £50million for the Leeds midfielder.
And the Athletic also reported that the Leipzig man had been ‘connected’ with the Whites already this summer as he assessed his options.
Adams certainly fits the bill under Marsch, as an energetic and physically strong midfielder capable of providing the legs in the midfield - his profile would work well alongside a playmaker such as Roca. Leeds will have to move quickly, however, with several clubs already interested and a move away looking likely - one would hope that the board could secure the arrival before any talk of selling Phillips.
