Videos spreading misinformation about Tylenol use during pregnancy and autism made up just over a quarter of the TikTok clips researchers reviewed, yet they drew more than half of all views, according to research presented at the American Academy of Pediatrics 2026 National Conference & Exhibition in San Diego.
The analysis, reported by Contemporary Pediatrics, examined 53 TikTok videos posted between September and November 2025. Of those, 28.3% contained misinformation. Those videos accounted for 52.4% of roughly 28.1 million total views in the sample.
