Two-year extension on home support program for elderly

Labor has vowed to keep the first port of call for older Australians entering the aged care system operating, less than a year before it was due to be cut.

The Commonwealth Home Support Program, which provides basic services such as cleaning, gardening and transport, will continue operating until 2029.
